Herbs, Oils & Nature: Garlic

I love garlic! It is a key ingredient in a lot of cuisines across almost every culture. Not to mention that today, garlic is well used to prevent a lot of symptoms or diseases including how to fight vampires kidding! – to regulate cholesterol levels, reduce high blood pressure, treat heart disease and supports our immune system. Its skin (skin cover) itself is a time-tested remedy in the herbal apothecary.

Garlic is also known for therapeutic uses for diarrhea, heart issues, coughs and colds. During the times of ancient Egypt, slaves were given garlic and onions as part of their daily diet – perhaps the secret to making the pyramids aha!

Garlic also makes platelets a little less sticky, thus reducing a risk of blood clots. Eat garlic today!
